Focus on People was founded by Philipose Vaidyar in 2006. (The first web home screen is inserted below left) Philipose is a Communications Faculty turned people researcher, creative writer, documentary director, and media producer in the socio-developmental and commercial sectors. His 30 years of experience in communications and development work include writing for print, websites, and social media, scripts, and direction for documentaries; and corporate media productions. Ethnic people group research, teaching in communications, and social development projects have an integral part of his career. He had traveled widely within India and the remotest villages of the country on invitations for footprint and impact documentation. His travelogues, videos, and slide presentations are available online.
He is capable of handling media solutions from concept, content, and through productions in print, digital, and audiovisual media.

In the early nineties Philipose Vaidyar, a teacher turned social worker and a self-taught journalist, had the exciting experience of making inquisitive visits to the popular tribal belts in Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh and Orissa. Zooming in on the unusual practices maintained by these people groups, he felt writing about them that their life can be impacted.
