When are Art Submissions due?

All submissions for the Art Competition are due to Mrs. Tousignant by November 24, 2020.

Are there guidelines for artwork?

You have the choice of materials and subject matter for your artwork.

*Please keep it school appropriate.

How do I submit my artwork?

Step 1: Take a CLEAR picture of your artwork.

Step 2: Send your artwork to Mrs. Tousignant via email at: Lori.Tousignant@ferndaleschools.org

Step 3: Add a short description of your artwork and your process in the email.

Step4: Title the email in the following format: (LastName-FirstName-Grade-ArtworkTitle)

*If you are unable to take a clear picture of your artwork, email Mrs. Tousignant about setting up a drop-off time for your artwork.

How will I know if I won?

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be notified by December 14, 2020 via email. This will also include a pick-up time for prizes.

What are the prizes?

Winners will receive a gift card to Blick's Art Supplies!

1st place - $100

2nd place - $50

3rd place - $25

Will there be another Art Competition?

Yes! We will have a 2nd round at the end of the school year. Information will be sent out at a later time.

What is the difference between the Art Show and the Art Competition?

The Art Show is a collection of work from our individual art classes through out the semester. All students enrolled in Art should be represented.

The Art Competition is an opportunity for ALL students in FMS to participate in showing their artwork and having it judged by a panel of teachers for a chance to win a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize.
