Ideas
IDEA 1: EXPOSITORY DOCUMENTARY
I came up with the idea of conducting an expository documentary about my dad. The documentary would include me interviewing him with b roll footage of buildings, nature, etc. When my dad talks about what he did when he was younger, I considered having my young cousin act as him, so that the b roll aligns with what he says. He will discuss about coming to the UK when he was 30 to improve his life. During the early stages of staying in the UK, he will talk about facing trials and tribulations as he adapts to the norms and values of British society. I will ask him questions about his life and integration.
IDEA 2: SHORT FILM ABOUT A DIARY THAT GIVES WISHES
A little girl in the library looking for books and a unique-looking box catches her attention. She takes a sneak peak inside and puts it in her bag. She leaves the library and goes home.
In her room, she opens the box and is in awe of what she sees. Inside the box there is a paper that has 3 rules about the diary in order for the wishes to work.
IDEA 3: THE TELEPORTER
A young man is at home with his mother. He is doing his hair in his room until his mother calls him. In the mothers room he continues doing his hair whilst his mum is talking to him. Out of anger, the mum scolds him for not listening to him so she commands him to go to the barber shop and shave of his hair.
At the barbershop, the barber notices the man is sad so he explains what happened. The barber has a secret power from his hair that allows him to teleport. The barber tells the man he can give him that same power by braiding his hair with extensions.
The young man comes back home with his braided hair and his mum looses her cool. He explains to her that he is now powerful and can teleport. The video will show him teleporting and getting things. The mum is terrified and freaks out but she gets used to it.
