Staying on pace means submitting all work during the week it is due. Getting behind and having to catch up can be overwhelming and so it is important to follow the class pace calendars weekly. If a student does fall behind, we have resources to assist them, however, it is always best to stay on pace.
Do NOT do the quizzes first and then go back to complete written assignments:
History is chronological, so skipping around can be confusing and lead to issues with comprehending the material.
Leaving nothing but written work to complete will be time-consuming, and is more stressful than completing a mix of quizzes and written work
It will delay completing your DBAs, which will lead you in taking longer to complete the class/meet course deadlines
Tip: Print out your pace charts for each class so you can cross off your assignments along the way. Here are the traditional pace guides (16 weeks) for segment 1 and segment 2. If you would like to finish the course at a faster pace, you can also use these accelerated (8 weeks) pace guides for segment 1 and segment 2. Need a pace plan other then 8 weeks or 16 weeks? No problem! This document will walk you through how to print out a custom pace plan to finish by whatever deadline you need!
