Our goal is that our teachers and the parent/guardian are partners, working closely together to ensure success in each student's educational journey!
Each Florida Virtual High School student is assigned to a History class with a teacher. Your teacher is your go-to contact for any school matters and questions. However, we do have support systems with counselors, learning specialists and other important admins.
Welcome Call: This is a time for teachers to get to know the students and to begin building that relationship from the start. They will also verify that the contact information we have on file is correct.
Monthly Calls: This is a time to review student progress. Each month, teachers ask the student and parent to speak together. This is an important opportunity to celebrate success and offer additional support.
Teachers are available Mondays-Fridays from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. If you do not reach them please make sure to leave a message and they will get back to you within 24 hours. You are also welcome to text or email if that is your preference.
Tip: It's very important that the contact information for both the student and parent/guardian is correct in our system. If any of this changes through the school year, please reach out to your teacher. It will also be important to add the teacher's phone number to your contact book. Parents will be welcome to do the same.
