Note that students under 18 cannot stay in residence without supervision. We have arranged for a chaperone staying on the floor for students under 18 in Bricker Residence.
a) Dormitory-style air-conditioned rooms are available at Waterloo College Hall, at the corner of Lester St and Seagram Drive. (Right next to LAMA.) Each person has their own bedroom (single bed, sink, desk & closet) and shared washroom with one other person. There is access to a lounge with fridge and stove. Cost is $50.00/person per night +HST. When booking ask for the Flute Boost rate so you are booked on the same floor as other participants.

b) Apartment-style air-conditioned rooms have 3, 4 or 5 bedrooms, two washrooms, living room, kitchen and dining area. Students booking single bedrooms will be placed in a 3 or 4 bdm apartment with participants of the same gender. These are located at 44 Bricker Ave. Kitchen kits and microwaves are available to rent at a nominal additional cost.

4 bdm $180/night (@45 pp)

All Laurier accommodations are very basic. You will need your own toiletries.
Each bedroom is supplied with a single bed, pillow, blanket, two sheets, two towels, soap, and a cup
Amenities include: WiFi, free parking (permit given upon arrival), kitchens with cooking facilities/lounges, and central location, air-conditioning, card-operated laundry, campus and local dining options, campus bike-share program, and easy access to public transportation
Daily housekeeping is not provided. Microwaves and kitchen sets can be rented through the Hotel Laurier office.

Option A) Laurier Dining Hall Meal Plan. Participants can purchase a meal plan that covers 5 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 4 dinners for $243.91 CDN. The Dining Hall will be open at specific hours for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Contact Susan at conferences@wlu.ca to purchase this option.
Option B) DIY Meal Plan. This option will provide cold options for breakfast (yogurt, granola, bread (toast), oatmeal, etc.) and a Lunch box with sandwich, veggies and piece of fruit. Dinner will be a pre-prepared meal from local food shops that will be reheatable. (Eg. Mexican with beans and rice, empanadas or (These will be delivered to participants' campus accommodation or to LAMA.) Sandwiches will be pre-made from local food shops/restaurants. Some communal supplies (milk/almond milk, condiments, will be included in this plan for all to share.) Plan covers 5 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 4 dinners. Cost: $150 CDN. Option C) On own. There are many restaurants in the area surrounding LAMA and Laurier and two grocery stores nearby. Participants' may opt to purchase their own supplies and cook their own meals, or eat at nearby restaurants. Note that grocery stores will be closed July 1 for the statutory holiday. You may wish to plan ahead and bring groceries with you to the campus accommodation. Bring something to label your food. Restaurants will be open.
Participants staying on campus can bring additional supplies and snacks. A water cooler is provided at LAMA.
Westbound (from Toronto/East)
HWY 401 to HWY 8. Take Hwy 8 and merge onto Hwy 85N to Waterloo. Take the University Ave. WEST exit. Follow University to Lester St. (One after Albert St.) Left on Lester.
Eastbound (from London/West)
HWY401 to Exit 278A onto Shantz Hill Rd. Turn left onto Shantz Hill Rd. Keep right and merge onto Hwy 8 W toward Kitchener. Continue on Hwy 7/8 and merge onto Hwy 85N to Waterloo. Take the University Ave. WEST exit. Follow to Lester St. (One past Albert St.) Left on Lester.
PARKING
Parking at 190 Lester Street is available during the day at no cost. (We will provide a permit.) Overnight guests of WLU summer accommodation will receive permits for overnight parking when they check-in.

Waterloo Regional International Airport (YKF) has flights from Calgary, Edmonton, Saint John NB, Charlottetown, Halifax, Vancouver BC. Air Canada has a ground transortation connection option from Toronto Pearson.
Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) will have more flight options and has a shuttle service to Waterloo.
Additional shuttle options:
OneX Bus has shuttles from Pearson Airport to Kitchener Sportworld Drive Go Platform. From there, Grand River Transit takes you to Waterloo. Or connect to Go Transit bus 25 up to Laurier campus.
FlixBus also connects to Kitchener from Pearson airport. From there, you can connect to Grand River Transit to get to LAMA.
GO TRANSIT - Direct service from Guelph to WLU ijn Route 17.
Two routes have daily service to UW from the GTA. More Info
VIARAIL Kitchener Station connects to the Grand River Transit LRT that stops at UW.
