Meet our Board

Kitty swam competitively from the age of 4-17; and continues to be an active member in the swimming community ever since. Coaching allows her to combine both her talents of love for swimming, and teaching, to create a good fit. Kitty has been coaching Providence High School swim team and is ready for a new challenge with the Hurricanes. She resides in New Albany with her Yorkie Ruby.

Cortney Johnson has been a member of the Floyd County Hurricanes since 2018. Her daughter Aurora and her son Rhett are part of the Hurricane Family. Cortney has coached the swim team at Hazelwood Middle school for the last 13 years and loves the water. She is excited to bring her children into the world of swimming! Cortney and her family reside in Greenville.

Is a long time Floyd County resident with a life long passion for swimming. She has many fond memories of swimming on a SISA team as a kid and now is enjoying watching her daughter swim for the Hurricanes. She is so excited to be able to lend her support to the team!

My name is Jill Davis Cline. I am currently a secretary at New Albany Floyd County Schools. I have worked in the school systems for over 30 years. I am a graduate from Indiana University with BS in Business. I am married to Jerry Cline with one daughter, and we reside in New Albany. I have been involved with the swim world for over 25 years in one way or another. My daughter has been on a swim team since 1995 and continues her love for swim through coaching. I loved to be involved with the community through involvement and volunteerism.

Jason grew up in Bowling Green, Ky., and graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1995. He has worked at The Courier Journal since 2000 and currently is a sportswriter covering Kentucky high school sports and horse racing. He lives in New Albany with his wife, Edie, and children Riley, 13, and Charlie, 11. Charlie first joined the Hurricanes in the summer of 2018.

Laurel Mitchell is a founding board member of the Floyd County Hurricanes. She is a veteran swim mom of 7 years. She lives in Georgetown with her husband, Mike & son, Tyler (15).
