Together with Eva Lagunas, I actively work to promote gender equity in STEM fields. We organize Sigcom Women meetings with the women researchers in our group to help bridge the gender gap in technology and research. Our goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where women can thrive in the field of communications and AI-driven technologies.
Since 2020, I have been involved in volunteer initiatives focused on education and technology outreach:
Adopta una Prepa & Knowledge Transfer: As part of the Global Network of Mexicans in Spain, I organize and deliver workshops and seminars for students in public high schools and universities in Mexico, aiming to democratize access to knowledge in AI, telecommunications, and emerging technologies.
YouTube Channel for AI & Machine Learning: I created a Spanish-language YouTube channel where I teach the fundamentals of Machine Learning and AI, making these topics accessible to a wider audience.
As a volunteer in the Mexican Association in Luxembourg (MexikaLux), I help promote Mexican culture and foster cultural integration between Mexico and Luxembourg. Through the Apapachando sin Fronteras program, we support underprivileged children in Mexico, raising funds for education and essential resources.
This year, I will participate in Chercheurs à l'école, an initiative organized by the FNR, where scientists engage with high school students in Luxembourg to inspire and encourage them to pursue careers in research and technology.
I am always open to collaborations that have a meaningful impact on society, particularly in the areas of gender equity, education, AI outreach, and scientific engagement. If you are working on a project that aligns with these goals, feel free to reach out!
