A New Season--Revival!
“Truth offers freedom,
but lies now abound.
Learn the truth
And freedom is found.”
The man in the front,
Speaking loud and clear,
called to the people in pews,
“Come closer, draw near.
“What wrong have we done?
What shadows have we cast
Since repenting in revival,
And how long did it last?”
The people hung their heads,
Were starting to moan and confess.
They all knew that life
Had become a huge mess.
They mourned their wrong deeds,
Desiring to do better,
But know they cannot
Follow the law to the letter.
What to do, what to do?
Ask forgiveness for all.
The Preacher declared
how he had been spared.
From child to Mom and Dad,
Granny and Grandpa.
They each knew that all
Had heard the call.
They fell on their knees
(Those who could),
They cried out to ask
Forgiveness…who would?
For those who offend,
Without love and truth
Might continue to do so
In old age, from youth.
At last, repentance, long overdue.
Accepting forgiveness, it’s all true.
Come to Jesus, who died for our sins.
Now New Life begins!
