Splash Laced Red Wyandotte

What a stunner!  Wyandottes are an American breed that have been around since the 1870s and are fantastic winter egg layers. They are docile birds that lay lots (up to 200 eggs/year) of medium sized, brown eggs. They come in a variety of colors with the Splash Laced Red coloring being especially rare.  These Wyandottes have a red feather base with light gray (the lightest of the blue coloring) lacing around the edge of each feather.  Gonna say it again- what a stunner!
