Originating in France in the 1850s, the Salmon Faverolles, is a large bird with a calm and docile disposition. They have some unique features too. Like a 5th toe! And a beard! And feathered legs! Salmon Faverolles are average layers (up to 180 eggs/year) of light brown, almost peachy colored, eggs. Their feathered legs may require some maintenance in a wet run. Thankfully their easy going personality make them easier to handle. Those fuzzy cheeked chicks couldn’t get any cuter!
