Cuckoo Marans

Looking for a dark brown egg producer without the hefty price tag of a French Marans? Try a Cuckoo Marans! She won't have the feathered legs of the french variety but she will have beautiful, subtle black and white barring of her feathers and be a solid producer of medium sized dark brown eggs (approx. 200 eggs/year). These lovely birds tend to be docile and friendly making them a solid choice for a chicken buddy who brings some color to the egg carton.
