A bantam is a very small chicken so these are Easter Eggers in miniature form! Like their standard sized counterparts, these cuties come in a variety of colors and lay eggs that range in color from blue to green to pink, and rarely brown. Matching their tiny body size (hens average around 1.5 lbs at maturity), the eggs are also much smaller and you can expect between 2-4/week. Bantam Easter Eggers are known for being calm and friendly and make great pets as well as adding some color to your egg basket.Â
NOTE- most bantam breeds of chickens are offered straight run, or unsexed, making it a 50/50 hen/rooster ratio. Flock City bantams are sexed to 90% accuracy (90/10 hen/rooster ratio) reflecting the higher price point. These birds also come with a sex accuracy guarantee. If you suspect a cockerel, and the chick is at least 14 weeks old, you send me a picture so we can determine together. If yes to a cockerel, I send the pics to the hatchery and we both get 50% of our money back.
