Lacrosse Training

Fall Offerings will be posted in July.

We offer several lacrosse training offerings with the goal of providing multiple opportunities to improve technically and tactically. Additionally, any of the following can be facilitated by your own chosen cohort of players. We have provided this type of training to the following town-based lacrosse programs: Franklin, Holliston, King Phillip, Medway, and Milford.

Wall-Ball Training @ Downtown Sports Skill Center - (Grades 1-12)

Based on research and the hundreds of players who have participated in our Wall-Ball Sessions, this type of training provides the most effective way to improve your child's lacrosse skills.

Players get 400-600 throws and catches against the wall during a one-hour session. We also differentiate instruction based on your child's individual lacrosse level. Additionally, we focus on throwing and catching with the non-dominant hand. Finally, we allocate the last portion of time to proper shooting technique.

Learning Lax (K-2) @ Downtown Sports  Skill Center

Location: Downtown Sports Skill Center Franklin, MA

Learning Lax is an introduction to lacrosse basics for Kindergarten to Grade 2 players. The focus of this class is to develop the basic fundamentals of the game while having fun. Kids will learn how to cradle, scoop, pass, catch, and shoot. They then demonstrate these skills in creative games designed to develop a love for the game in a relaxed atmosphere.

To ensure more personalization, these classes are capped at six kids.

Classes will be held at Downtown Sports in the Skill Center.

No equipment is needed. We can provide a lacrosse stick if needed.

Indoor Lacrosse Training @ Downtown Sports Turf Field (Grades 2-8)

Our Indoor Turf Training provides Boys in Grades 2-8 an opportunity to apply what they have learned in a game setting. The field provides a suitable environment for multiple learning opportunities that challenge players to make quick decisions as they play. Each week, we will focus on a particular lacrosse area and build out the skills we have learned in an applied setting. These sessions are for players who have grade-level proficiency in catching and throwing. For those who are new or need more practice, Wall-Ball is a great way to ramp up those skills.
