The foundation of the effective implementation of a Flipped Learning model is whereby teachers source and create resources (video's, readings, podcasts etc) that provide the instructional component of the workshop focus. These resources can provide students with taster's before workshops which allow them to start developing their own wonderings to bring to the lesson.
Workshop time can become less about teacher driven instruction, and more about students exploring ideas by asking and answering their own questions. Instructional resources can be accessed as many times as needed to support each individual as they are encouraged to review and revisit these at their own pace.
For the purposes of my TAI, there will not be an expectation that students must access instructional material before lessons. Accessing these will be an important part of our workshop warm-up activities. It will be interesting to see if students do take ownership of their own learning over the course of this inquiry and begin to access this material independently.
