As we near the end of the 2nd decade in the 21st Century, it seems that there are more buzz words than ever flying around school staff rooms that remind us that we need to be preparing students for a future that we can't even begin to understand. Teachers know that it is important to provide our learners with the skills that they will need in the modern world, and we are told that the way to do this is through teaching and learning practices that are ubiquitous and student-centered, with rich and meaningful contexts.
As my 2017 Teaching and Inquiry focus (TAI), I plan to embrace these phrases from the lexicon of current pedagogy and introduce Flipped Learning to my mathematics workshops with Year 3/4 students.
