For some the peak of the concept was in its original guise on DSi, and now 'Sudomemo (Austin Burk) and the wider Flipnote development community' have launched Flipnote Archive, which is hosting the entire available DSi archive from the defunct Flipnote Hatena servers. The site states that this is 44 million Flipnotes from 1.2 million creators, accounting for 12TB of data.

It sits above Hatena City, gazing down at the structures and the civilians which stand before it. The Clock-Cat is used to transfer The Hatenians, or Flipnotes in general, to another location through a process referred to as "TEMPORAL RELOCATION." It isn't yet known exactly where these transfer subjects are going, but it is speculated that the Clock-Cat IS the archive system. Fans currently speculate that Fuzz the Cat is the person who built the Clock-Cat himself in order to archive the world of Hatena, and to spread memory parasites to make people forget about what they once felt observing Flipnote Hatena, and it's inhabitants.

An online service, titled Flipnote Hatena (, Ugomemo Hatena), allowed users to download flipnotes created by other users and to post stills from flipnotes to the sharing site Miiverse. The service officially retired on May 31, 2013. However, users were still able to transfer Flipnotes from their Flipnote Hatena account to the Flipnote Gallery World service provided with Flipnote Studio 3D, until it was shut down on April 2, 2018.[3]

On May 31, 2022, an archive called Flipnote Archive was released by Sudomemo, containing over 44,351,673 Flipnotes that had been posted to Flipnote Hatena prior to its deactivation on May 31, 2013. The archive contains 12 TB of Flipnotes.[18] 006ab0faaa
