Activity 1: Pearl Harbor Comparison

  1. Today we will be making comparisons between the attack on Pearl Harbor and September 11th.
  2. First we will learn a little more about each event, then you all will research and find out the similarities and differences between each event.
  3. Then using the chart given in class, you will compare and contrast the differences between each event.


Part 1: Research-- 15 min

  1. Click the following links.
  2. Find two additional scholarly link that describes either event.


Part 2: Writing--15 min

  1. Then using the chart given on the back table to compare and contrast the events.
  2. Then answer the two questions after the chart.
  3. FInished, move to the next section.


Part 3: Double Bubble Map--15-20 min

  1. Using the poster paper on the side counter, create a double bubble map that uses the information found in your research to compare the two events.
  2. Make sure that it is neat, informative, colorful.
