Faith Lutheran Endowment Fund
What is an Endowment Fund?
The Endowment Fund is a perpetual fund set up in 2018 to provide for ministry beyond the operating budget of the congregation. All funds are permanently invested as “principal.” We receive a quarterly dividend of our annual interest to distribute as funds for ministry.
Why create an Endowment Fund?
The Endowment Fund was created to benefit both specific and general purposes, to foster relationships, and to enhance the ministry outreach of Faith Lutheran Church apart from the general operation of the congregation. The Endowment Fund is meant to open doors to new ways of serving others in accordance with Christ’s call for our faith (Luke 6:38).
How are funds distributed?
10% for ELCA Churchwide Ministries, up to 30% for outreach into the local community, up to 30% for educational and leadership development scholarships, and up to 30% for extraordinary programs or other ministry initiatives within this congregation.
