Good afternoon!
Wow this week has flown by for many reasons on my part! It's hard to believe that the race is the day after tomorrow!
I'll try to keep this brief (yes, my friends are all laughing at that comment!).
- If you have joined from the waitlist since my last email, please read the previous email on our website. If you want to see any other previous emails, they're on there also!
- Parking will be in a field on Saturday. While there are a few spots in the dirt lot, we hope most of you will be OK with parking on grass. It is (mostly) trimmed and flat and I've spent a lot of time in it the past 3 days without finding any ticks or bees, so I have high hopes for the weekend!
- Car alarms! Last year an unfortunate runner had their alarm go off, which the volunteers and neighbors had to listen to. It's Dunstable, we are around, and your car is pretty safe. If you think of it, please disable any alarms.
- It's going to be a scorcher! Or, in New Englandese - a skorcha!! Please prepare appropriately and be smart. We'll have plenty of water and Tailwind, and the middle aid station will have water and ice. Let's be a team out there and watch out for each other. Walk or cool down if you need to, and please tell someone if you need a hand.
- In case of emergency - my cell number is on the back of all the bibs. Call or text if there is a problem on the trail. If it's an emergency, call 911 and then if you can do so safely, please let me know what's happening. Police and fire departments are aware of the race and our course in case they need to respond.
