Freshman J.J. Bell, sophomore Shelanne Gilbert, junior Dylan Baker, and senior Hanna Hanzel were named on Wednesday, Oct. 23, as Flathead High School students of the month for September 2019.
Hanzel’s teachers said that she is a positive role model for others while being involved in many different activities, from athletics to Choralaires to She Ra Book Club.
She is a positive role model to others. One teacher remarks that Hanna “builds on her intelligence with hard work and focused discipline. She is thoughtful, generous with others, and an enriching classroom presence. She has no ceiling on what she can accomplish.”
Baker is “a genuine person--kind to others, inquisitive, and insightful. His participation and work reflect an individual committed to getting the most out of every learning experience, in and out of the classroom.”
Gilbert “does all of her work to the best of her ability. She has no fear of asking the hard questions while being sensitive to everyone in the class. She genuinely is excited for both the day’s activities and getting to see both her classmates and teachers.”
“Honestly, it was really unexpected, I didn’t know how to feel at first but now, I think it’s kinda cool and it kinda drives me to just give back and pushes me to be even better than I was,” said Shelanne.
Bell has been complimented, “her teachers say that she is a pleasure to have in class because of her willingness to participate in classroom discussion. She exceeds the expectations of her teachers and takes great pride in her class work.”
