An educator for 18 years, Rachèle DeMéo was born in Nîmes (Gard), in the south of France, where she lived for nineteen years. Raised by an American-Italian father and an English mother, Rachèle grew up in a bilingual and multicultural environment. She is passionate about languages and other cultures, and her professional journey has been focused on language learning and teaching. She holds two Masters degrees, one of which is in teaching and learning.

Currently, she resides in San Diego, California, with her husband and their two children whom she is raising bilingual. In 2020, she founded FLAM San Diego (as a volunteer) with about thirty children participating in virtual French classes. She is the director of FLAM San Diego, offering different programs for about forty children and teenagers.

A former secondary school teacher and university lecturer, she is also a presenter/trainer. She teaches French courses and other lectures at Belle Terre Academy. She is also an author (with six published books to date) and a YouTuber.

Andrée-Anne Tardif was born and raised in Victoriaville, a small French-speaking town located in Quebec. She later moved to Montreal, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in International Law from the University of Montreal. During her academic journey, she had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad in Mexico at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económica. In 2018, Andrée-Anne decided to move to San Diego with her husband and their two cats.

Andrée-Anne is passionate about culture and languages. She is a member of the American Association of French Teachers (San Diego chapter) and currently serves as the treasurer of FLAM San Diego. She is also an active member of HOTEPA, a dog shelter located in Acapulco that aims to educate the local community about animal welfare.

Outside of work, Andrée-Anne enjoys learning new languages, cooking, traveling, playing with her two dogs, practicing yoga, going hiking, and relaxing at the beach.
