Chain of Command

Lieutenant Colonel Darryl L. Sweetwine (retired) is the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor at F.W. Springstead High School. In this capacity, he is responsible for executing the Air Force JROTC at the school.  

Lt Col Sweetwine was born in Eustis, Florida.  He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant through the Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1984 from Florida State University. He has a variety of assignments in Tactical Air Command, Air Combat Command, Air Education and Training Command, Pacific Air Forces, and Headquarters Air Force.  He has one son and three grandchildren. 

Chief Master Sergeant Tyrone D. Williams is the former Squadron Superintendent, 6th Force Support Squadron, 6th Air Mobility Wing, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. Chief Williams advises the squadron commander on all matters affecting the health, morale, and welfare of over 600 Airmen and civilians across five flights in 39 highly varied support, service, PME, educational, and recreational activities over 80 diverse facilities and recreational venues dispersed about the base. Chief Williams also leads and assists with the management and direction of a wide range of programs to include combat and community support, sustainment services, business operations, family member programs, personal and professional development, and human resource functions serving over 6,200 personnel assigned to the 6th Air Mobility Wing, the United States Central Command, the United States Special Operations Command, and 39 other mission partners and geographically separated units.
