By creating an account, you agree to take sole responsibility for your own conduct and all activity facilitated through the FITLIY app. FITLIY is not liable for any damages, injuries, losses, or harm of any kind arising from your use of the app or your interactions with other users.

Introduction: Welcome to FITLIY ("we," "us," or "our"). FITLIY is a fitness matching app that connects people with shared fitness interests. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our app. 

By using FITLIY, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. FITLIY is intended for users 18 years of age and older. By creating an account you confirm you are 18 or older and agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect: 

We collect the following information when you use FITLIY:

• Name (first and last)

• Email address

• Date of birth

• Profile photo

• Location (city and coordinates)

• Gender identity

• Fitness interests

• Messages sent through the app

• Device token (for push notifications)

• Swipe activity (likes and passes)

How We Use Your Information: 

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account

• Match you with other users based on shared fitness interests, location, age, and gender preferences

• Enable in-app messaging between matched users

• Send push notifications for new matches and messages

• Improve and personalize your experience

• Ensure the safety and security of our platform"

Dispute Resolution: Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to your use of FITLIY or this Privacy Policy shall first be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration conducted in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules. By using FITLIY, you waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against FITLIY. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief for urgent matters.

Information Sharing: We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your profile information (first name, last initial, photo, fitness interests, and city) is visible to other users in your match area. Your full name, email address, exact location, and messages are not shared publicly.

We use Firebase (Google) to store your data securely. Firebase's privacy policy can be found at firebase.google.com.

Location Information: FITLIY uses your location to find fitness partners near you. We store your city name and approximate coordinates to calculate distances between users. Your exact location is never shared with other users; they only see your general city.

You can update your location at any time through the app settings.

Data Retention: We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time through the Profile settings, which will permanently remove all your data from our servers including your profile, photos, matches, and messages.

Push Notifications: FITLIY sends push notifications for new matches and messages. You can disable push notifications at any time through your iPhone Settings. Disabling notifications will not affect your ability to use the app.

Children's Privacy: FITLIY is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and delete their data.

Your Rights: 

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you

• Request deletion of your personal information

• Update or correct your personal information

• Opt out of push notifications at any time

Security: We take the security of your data seriously. Your data is stored securely using Firebase with industry-standard encryption. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
