Version 2.0 — Last updated: 31 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when you use Fishing Idle on Android. We aim to describe the app’s actual behaviour in clear terms: what stays on your device, what may be sent to external providers, why it is used, and which choices you have.
1. Data controller and contact
The data controller is Cristin Zavtoni, operating under the studio name Zavton Lab, established in Italy (“we”, “us”).
For privacy questions, requests concerning your data, or complaints, contact:
zavtonlab@gmail.com
Fishing Idle does not require an account and does not operate its own server to which your complete game save is uploaded.
2. Summary
- Your save, preferences, and scheduled notifications normally remain on your device.
- We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand and improve use of the game when consented to or otherwise permitted by law.
- We use Google AdMob for rewarded ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect and apply privacy choices.
- We use RevenueCat and Google Play Billing to display, validate, unlock, and restore purchases.
- If you choose to send a support email, we receive the sender address, the message, and limited technical information shown to you before sending.
- We do not request your name, password, phone number, or full payment-card details. We do not access precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, health data, or calendar.
3. Data stored on your device
Fishing Idle stores locally:
- game save and progress;
- language, audio, graphics, accessibility, and notification preferences;
- a limited local log of game events and a random local identifier;
- reminders scheduled through Android local notifications.
The local log and its identifier are not uploaded as a whole to Firebase. Selected game events may be sent separately to Analytics as described in section 4.
You can delete local data using the in-game reset command or by uninstalling the app. The in-game reset does not automatically erase data already processed by Google, RevenueCat, or email providers. Android may also restore app data from a system backup linked to your device or Google account; this function is controlled by Android/Google.
4. Usage analytics with Firebase Analytics
Fishing Idle uses Firebase Analytics to measure the first-time experience, sessions, progression, and feature use. Events may concern, for example:
- app opening, sessions, tutorial, and first catch;
- upgrades, unlocked seas, Atlas, missions, and achievements;
- chests, daily rewards, taps, coins earned, and session duration;
- SDK-generated technical events, including app lifecycle, sessions, and in-app purchases.
Firebase/Google may also process an app-instance identifier, an IP address used in part to derive approximate location, app and device information, and diagnostics required by the service.
We do not set a Firebase user ID, send names or email addresses in custom events, upload the complete save file, or allow Firebase Analytics to collect the Advertising ID.
Where required, Analytics collection is enabled only according to the statistics choice recorded through the privacy form. Elsewhere it may be enabled where permitted by law. You can reopen privacy preferences from the game Settings when that option is available. Withdrawal stops new collection by the app but does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing and does not automatically erase data already transmitted.

5. Advertising with Google AdMob
Fishing Idle uses AdMob for rewarded ads, which you choose to watch in exchange for the reward stated in the game. Depending on your choices, region, and applicable rules, Google may serve personalised, non-personalised, or limited ads.
AdMob and its partners may process:
- IP address and approximate location;
- device, advertising, or equivalent identifiers where permitted;
- app and advertising interactions;
- diagnostic and security information;
- consent choices and signals.
Purposes may include serving and measuring advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance. The availability of a reward does not allow Fishing Idle to read the full contents of your Google profile.
You can manage available choices through Settings → Manage privacy preferences. The ability to change a choice and the type of form displayed depend on your region and the configuration required by applicable law.

6. Purchases with Google Play and RevenueCat
Purchases are processed by Google Play. Fishing Idle does not receive your full card number or payment credentials.
RevenueCat helps us display offerings, validate transactions, recognise your purchases, and restore them. If you do not sign in — Fishing Idle has no login — the SDK creates a random pseudonymous RevenueCat App User ID. RevenueCat may process this identifier, receipts, transaction identifiers, products, prices, purchase history, and entitlement status.
We do not send RevenueCat your name, email address, or custom personal attributes created by Fishing Idle. Some purchase information may be retained for as long as needed to recognise a permanent product, manage an entitlement, prevent fraud, provide support, and comply with accounting or legal duties.

7. Support and feedback by email
The feedback function opens your device’s email client. Before sending, you can review, edit, or remove all content. If you choose to send the email, we may receive:
- your email address and message;
- attachments you add;
- app and game version;
- Android version, device model, and WebView version.
We use this information to reply, reproduce problems, provide support, and improve the product. The message passes through your email provider and Zavton Lab’s provider, each subject to its own privacy policy. We normally keep support conversations for up to 24 months after closure unless longer retention is needed for legal obligations, legal claims, or disputes.
8. Purposes and legal bases
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or places with similar requirements, depending on the processing we rely on:
| Purpose | Main legal basis |
|---|---|
| Provide the game, save preferences, and manage purchases | Performance of a contract or action requested by you |
| Analytics and personalised advertising where required | Consent, withdrawable for future processing |
| Aggregate measurement, security, fraud prevention, and permitted advertising elsewhere | Legitimate interests in operating, protecting, and improving the service, subject to applicable law |
| Respond to feedback and support requests | Performing your request and our legitimate interest in providing support |
| Tax, accounting, and other legal requirements | Legal obligation |
When relying on legitimate interests, we consider the pseudonymous and limited nature of the information, available user controls, and the reasonably expected impact on users.
9. Disclosure and recipients
We may make data available only for the purposes described to:
- Google, for Firebase Analytics, AdMob, UMP, Google Play, and Android services;
- RevenueCat, for purchases, receipts, and entitlements;
- email providers, only if you contact us;
- advisers or authorities where required for legal compliance, security, or the establishment and defence of legal claims;
- a successor if the business is reorganised, acquired, or transferred, subject to appropriate notice and safeguards.
We do not sell personal data for money. Some US privacy laws may treat personalised advertising as “sharing” or targeted advertising even when there is no monetary sale. Where applicable, you may exercise the choice available in the game’s privacy form. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right granted by law.
10. International transfers
Google, RevenueCat, and email providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other safeguards recognised by applicable law. See each provider’s policy linked above for further details.
11. Retention
- Local data: until you reset or delete it, or uninstall the app, subject to Android backups.
- Firebase Analytics: event-level and user-level data are configured for 14 months of retention. The user-data retention period is not automatically reset by new activity. Standard aggregated reports may remain longer and do not allow us to identify you directly.
- AdMob and Google services: according to Google’s settings, your choices, and its published retention periods.
- RevenueCat/Google Play purchases: as long as needed to recognise, restore, and document purchases, comply with law, and handle disputes.
- Support: normally up to 24 months after closure unless longer legal retention is required.
We may retain aggregated or de-identified information for statistics and product improvement.
12. Security
We use safeguards proportionate to the data, including encrypted transmission offered by the relevant SDKs and services, minimisation of custom events, and no proprietary database containing the complete game save. No system can, however, guarantee absolute security.
13. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; you may also withdraw consent for future processing and complain to the supervisory authority where you live or work.
Email zavtonlab@gmail.com with “Fishing Idle Privacy” in the subject. To protect data, we may request information reasonably needed to locate a record, such as the approximate date of an issue, Google Play order identifier, or available technical identifiers. Because much of the data is pseudonymous and the app has no account, in some cases we may be unable to connect a record to a person without additional information; we will explain this in our response.
Resetting the game removes the local data described in section 3 but is not a substitute for a request concerning data already transmitted to providers.
14. Children
Fishing Idle is intended for a general audience and is not designed or intentionally directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Age thresholds vary by country. If a future version is directed to children, we will update the app’s settings, practices, and this policy before release.
15. Automated decision-making
We do not use the data described to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, providers, or laws change. We will publish the revised version on this page, update the date, and provide additional notice or request consent again where required.
