Steel Manufacturer and former Lord Mayor Mark Firth, one of Sheffield's most famous sons, gifted the park to the people of the city (then a town) in 1875.

Our 15 hectare mixed use green space is well loved and well used by the vibrant, multi-cultural community surrounding it, and which takes its name from the park itself.
