FUMC is comprised of many committees and leadership roles. Serving on a committee is just one way to share your diverse gifts and interact with those who share your interests and values.
Administrative Council is comprised of the Chairperson of each Committee and other church leaders. At the regularly scheduled meetings, the Board hears reports from the church staff and each of the active Committees.

Regular Commitment: A monthly meeting
The Finance Committee develops and administers a coordinated plan of fiscal and administrative policies and procedures for the church. It oversees the financial health, provides financial direction, and communicates the church’s financial condition to the Leadership Council.

The Staff Parish Relations Committee acts as a liaison between staff, clergy, and the congregation. The committee reflects on staffing needs in order for FUMC to fulfill its mission and on the role and work of our pastors and staff as they carry out their responsibilities. This committee also works to ensure that FUMC is a fulfilling place to work. In new appointment situations, the SPRC works with the District Superintendent and Bishop on the placement of new clergy.

This Board is charged with the care and maintenance of church property- real, personal, and intellectual. It holds title to property, buildings, and equipment. It is also responsible for managing and receiving property for the church. Major items include building repair/renovation, space planning, disaster planning, traffic management, and security.

· Regular Commitment: A monthly meeting with the possibility of special projects.
Under the direction of a chairperson and along with the Pastor, the Worship Committee takes a team approach to worship planning. The Worship Committee members work together to craft meaningful worship experiences for all congregants of the church.

The Hospitality Committee’s goal is to bring together the members of the congregation and their families and friends into one body to share and live out the Gospel. They plan social activities for the congregation to come together as a church family. Also responsible for preparing Communion.

The Education committee assures that people of all ages will have opportunities for learning so that they will grow in their understanding of the gospel and become better equipped for daily living as faithful disciples. They plan for Sunday school and bible school and ensure proper leadership and assist with classes and special activities.

The children's ministry team is responsible for planning, visioning, and advocating for children within the congregation, the community, and the world. The team sets policies and procedures related to children, oversees the planning of short-term experiences, considers children's ministry needs within the whole of the congregation's ministries, and communicates with parents and the congregation. Advocate for the involvement of children in the life of the church. The team is accountable to Education Ministry.

Meeting for breakfast, Wednesdays at 8 am for prayer and discussion, UNM also provides help to the church where needed, whether as Chefs for a church dinner or replacing a boiler system.
UMW is a fellowship and mission organization, generally meeting for lunch 4-5 times a year. In addition to hosting occasional Potluck church meals, they actively support local and national charities as part of their mission.
Our Missions Committee seeks to understand and communicate community and national needs, as well as world missions. They plan and implement a program that addresses these needs. As well as deciding the monthly Communion Rail Offerings.

Manages monthly Communion Rail offerings to a wide array of charitable entities; Supplies Bibles and "Upper Room" booklets to the county jail; Offers welcoming coffee mugs and brochures to visitors.
The Nominations Committee encourages members to discover their spiritual gifts and to be led by those gifts into ministry. It makes sure there are various opportunities for members to develop these gifts through training and equipping. It assists members in finding and being commissioned into the specific ministries where God has been hoping they would be sent. It invites members to serve in specific capacities and church ministries.

Lay Leaders function as the primary representative and role model of Christian discipleship and faith lived out in the church and in daily life. The lay leader works with the pastor to fulfill the mission and vision of the congregation.
