First Step Co-op is a parent-run learning community for children ages 1–5 that meets Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30–11:30 AM.
We are a true co-op, which means families work together to create a supportive, engaging environment for our children through teamwork, shared responsibility, and community involvement. Parents help make everything happen from curriculum and teaching to cleaning and organizing events.
What We Ask From Families:
To keep our co-op running smoothly, each family commits to:
•A cleaning task each class day
•Teaching one class/activity per week
•Taking on one co-op role (planning, organizing, communication, etc.)
•Attending 4 required events outside of class time:
-Beginning of the year meeting
-End of the year meeting
-Cleaning night
-Dave & Busters Spirit Night
•$100 per year per child (This helps cover supplies and insurance)
•Bringing snack on your assigned day
•Monthly field trips (typically $10–$15 per child)
•Participate in 2 fundraisers (beginning of the year Amazon drive and Dave and Buster power cards sale)
First Step Co-op is a warm, supportive, and hands-on community where children learn through play, exploration, and connection while parents build friendships and support one another.
This co-op works because of teamwork, commitment, and dedication from every family.
When everyone contributes, it creates a beautiful learning environment for our children to grow and thrive together.
