About our classes

A typical day with us:

9:15am- Doors Open.  During this time, those who are able to will get the first classes set up for the day. For Nursery it is tactile/fine motor skills. For ECD it is Art and Pre-writing, For the pre-k students it is reading/writing.

9:30am- The students will go to their separate classrooms. During the next 15 minutes, the Nursery children will sing songs, learn each other's names in song, and either read a book of the letter of the week or learn about the letter of the week.  Meanwhile, the ECD students will be learning songs about days of the week, months of the year, seasons, etc.  Pre-K will read a book related to their week.

9:45am- Parents/guardians in Nursery will set up the tables with their tactile/fine motor skills. ECD Parents will set out the work on the prepared Art.  The Pre-K children will concentrate on reading/writing in their own room.  A parent will be setting up the next classes for their own classrooms near the end of the 15 minutes.

10:00am- Nursery students will go to area in the room that is set up with role play, pretend play, free time during this time. ECD children will be working on their pre-writing skills. The Pre-K children will be working on their math skills.  A parent will be setting up the next class which is Art. During this time the adult on snack duty will be preparing them for snack time.

10:15am- Snack time.  An adult is assigned to bring in a nutritional snack for all the children. (Dietary restrictions will be followed if needed) Parents who have the next two classes will go to their rooms and prepare their rooms for these classes.

10:45am Nursery will have Art class on Wednesday. ECD will have Math. Pre-K will have Art.

11:00am Nursery has free play on Wednesday.  ECD will have math and science on Wednesdays. Pre-K will have Science.

11:15am- Parents clean up and children play.

11:30am- End of Day.
