Ranch Info

Lodging

We have a 20 bed full facility bunkhouse that has air conditioning and heating as well as a full kitchen with pots and pans, dishes, microwaves and coffee pots. You do your own cooking and cleaning up. We also have a grill for steaks and a larger pit for cooking. You will need to bring your own food, water and bedding. Lodging is included in the price of the hunt. We also have a walk in cooler for cold storage of your harvest. Hunters are responsible for removing all trash.

Hunting

You are responsible for your own blind. Most of our hunters build brush blinds, pit blinds, brush a pop up in or use a tripod. With a tripod it should be no taller than 4-6 feet.

Our hunts start in the afternoon. For example, if you book a 2-day hunt, you would hunt the afternoon of the first day, morning and afternoon of the next day, and then end with the morning hunt.

This is a traditional bowhunting ranch. We do not allow crossbows.

Ranch Roads

All roads at First Point are dirt roads. They are maintained but with a heavy rain storm there is a chance for uneven and washed out areas. With heavy rains we recommend a 4x4 vehicles. We do allow ATVs, 4 wheelers and UTVs but along with all vehicles must stay on main roads and only be ridden during allowed times.

Feeding

At First Point you will find between 2-3 feeders per pasture that go off every morning and afternoon. We also run an afternoon feed route everyday (weather permitting). You may hunt both the feed route and feeders.
