Privacy Policy for Firmalyst: AI Stock Research

Firmalyst: AI Stock Research (“Firmalyst,” “we,” “our,” or “the App”) provides educational stock research, company analysis, chart interpretation, valuation estimates, analyst-consensus summaries, earnings research, and AI-assisted market information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Firmalyst processes, why it is processed, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Important Financial Disclaimer

Firmalyst is an educational research tool. It is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, financial planner, exchange, or trading platform.

Firmalyst does not execute trades, hold funds, connect to brokerage accounts, or provide personalized investment recommendations. AI-generated conclusions, chart signals, intrinsic-value estimates, price targets, analyst summaries, and other outputs may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect.

You remain responsible for independently verifying information and making your own financial decisions.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Firmalyst may store the following information locally on your device:

• Your name, if entered during onboarding.

• Your stated market experience.

• Markets you choose to follow.

• Your selected app language.

• Onboarding completion status.

• Saved company analyses and research history.

• AI conversations, prompts, responses, citations, and drafts.

• Chart screenshots or images you attach to Chart AI.

• App preferences and interface settings.

This information remains on your device unless it must be transmitted to provide an AI-powered feature. Removing the App generally removes its locally stored data, subject to Apple device-backup behavior.

3. Information Processed for AI Features

When you use company research, Portfolio AI, Chart AI, earnings analysis, News Agent, intrinsic-value research, or another AI feature, Firmalyst may process:

• Stock tickers and company names.

• Questions, prompts, and follow-up messages.

• Selected AI model and language.

• Earlier messages needed to continue a conversation.

• Uploaded chart screenshots and associated timeframe information.

• Publicly available sources, citations, and research results.

• Technical response information required to diagnose a failed request.

Chart images are transmitted only after you select or capture them. Please upload chart screenshots rather than personal photographs, financial statements containing account numbers, identity documents, or other sensitive information.

4. Camera and Photo Library

Firmalyst may request permission to:

• Use your camera to photograph a stock chart.

• Access photographs or screenshots you intentionally select.

Firmalyst does not automatically scan your entire photo library. You control which images are selected. You can change camera and photo permissions in the iOS Settings app.

Selected chart images may be stored with the associated conversation on your device and transmitted to AI service providers for analysis.

5. Subscription and Purchase Information

Firmalyst offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple’s App Store.

Apple processes your payment method and billing information. Firmalyst does not receive or store your complete credit-card number.

RevenueCat helps Firmalyst determine whether a subscription is active. It may process:

• An anonymous app-user identifier.

• Apple purchase receipts or purchase tokens.

• Purchased product identifiers.

• Subscription, renewal, expiration, and entitlement status.

• Device and technical information required to operate subscriptions.

6. Network and Security Information

When the App communicates with its backend services, technical information may be processed, including:

• IP address.

• Request time.

• Device and network headers.

• Requested service or endpoint.

• Error and rate-limit information.

This information is used to deliver requests, prevent abuse, enforce usage limits, maintain service reliability, and investigate failures.

7. How We Use Information

Firmalyst processes information to:

• Provide company analysis and AI-generated research.

• Analyze user-supplied chart screenshots.

• Continue and save conversations.

• Display saved research history.

• Retrieve current public sources when available.

• Verify subscription access and restore purchases.

• Apply language and interface preferences.

• Prevent fraud, abuse, and excessive automated requests.

• Diagnose errors and improve reliability.

• Respond to support and privacy inquiries.

• Comply with legal obligations.

8. AI and Automated Processing

AI requests are routed through a Cloudflare-hosted service and may then be processed by OpenRouter and the selected model provider, including Google or OpenAI.

Information sent to these services may include prompts, company identifiers, conversation context, public research sources, and chart images.

OpenRouter states that it does not use prompts and outputs to train its models, but individual model providers may have different processing and retention practices. See:

Firmalyst does not intentionally use your prompts or uploaded charts to train its own AI models.

AI outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors, outdated facts, or unsupported conclusions. They should not be treated as guarantees or personalized financial advice.

9. Data Retention

Retention depends on the type of information:

• Saved analyses, conversations, and chart attachments remain on your device until you delete them or remove the App.

• Firmalyst’s Cloudflare service is designed to process AI requests without intentionally retaining complete prompt and response bodies after a request is completed.

• Public analyst-consensus information may be cached temporarily to improve performance and reduce repeated external requests. This cached information is not associated with an individual user.

• Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, OpenRouter, and model providers may retain information according to their respective policies.

• Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

10. Information Sharing

Firmalyst may share information only as necessary with:

• Apple: App distribution, purchases, subscriptions, device services, and optional diagnostics.

• RevenueCat: Subscription status and entitlement management.

• Cloudflare: Secure request routing, rate limiting, caching, and service protection.

• OpenRouter: AI model routing and research requests.

• Google or OpenAI: AI response generation when their respective models are selected.

• External publishers: When you choose to open a citation or article in a browser.

• Legal authorities: When disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, Firmalyst, or others.

Firmalyst does not sell your personal information.

11. Advertising and Tracking

Firmalyst does not currently:

• Display third-party advertising.

• Sell personal information to advertisers.

• Use advertising identifiers.

• Track you across unrelated apps or websites for targeted advertising.

12. External Sources and Links

Firmalyst may display links to articles, filings, research sources, company websites, or other third-party pages. Opening an external link makes you subject to that provider’s privacy policy and terms.

Firmalyst does not control the accuracy, availability, security, or privacy practices of external websites.

13. Your Choices and Rights

You can:

• Decline camera or photo-library access.

• Change permissions through iOS Settings.

• Delete individual saved analyses or AI conversations.

• Change the App’s language through the Profile screen.

• Remove locally stored Firmalyst data by deleting the App.

• Restore eligible purchases through the App.

• Cancel a subscription through Apple’s subscription settings.

• Contact us to request information, correction, or deletion concerning information that Firmalyst controls.

Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Contact us to submit a request.

14. Children’s Privacy

Firmalyst is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

15. Security

Firmalyst uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections and server-side API credentials.

However, no application, network transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

16. International Processing

Firmalyst’s service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those where you live.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Firmalyst’s features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will display a revised “Last Updated” date.

Material changes may also be communicated through the App or its App Store listing when appropriate.
