Not much different from illustration, but design has a formal style and emphasizes functionality. Design for logos and packaging is a classic, so I try playing around with murals and finished products.

If I’m working on a print project, I’ll match the colors to real-world paint samples to make the application process faster.
Sometimes, if the wall dimensions and design don’t match what I expected, I use an overlapping technique. It’s much easier when each element is interconnected, as this strengthens the context and adds meaning to the design.
