The Faculty Induction Programme (FIP), also known as Guru Dakshta, is an initiative by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in India to equip newly appointed faculty in higher education institutions with essential skills, knowledge, and values. The program aims to help them transition effectively into their academic roles, aligning with institutional goals and national education priorities.

The Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) is mandatory to be completed within one year of appointment
For Faculty members who are working in government and private universities and colleges anywhere in India.
Submission of ‘No Objection Certificate from the Head of the Institution/ Management’ is essential.
The course content and syllabus are aligned with UGC GURU DAKSHATA
Typically one month (4 weeks) of structured training.
