L'azienda Agricola Fiorola si trova lungo il sentiero CAI Ischia 501 che porta sulla cima dell'Epomeo. Una stradina asfaltata e panoramicissima, conduce ad un piccolo villaggio ed una chiesa: Santa Maria al Monte (400 m). da qui una mulattiera conduce verso il bosco della Falanga, dove la realtà incontra la fantasia. Infatti in questo bosco di castagni è possibile ritrovare le tipiche buche (le fosse della neve) ed i rifugi scavati nei massi di tufo precipitati dall’Epomeo, come conseguenza di assestamenti tettonici (le cosiddette Case di Pietra). Da questo punto si può proseguire verso il bosco dei Frassitelli, un terrazzo di acacie fittissime e salire verso la Pietra dell’Acqua (enorme masso di tufo che funge da cisterna, da cui il nome) e infine, costeggiando un bosco di castagni, salire attraverso una mulattiera che nell’ultimo tratto si collega ad un antico tratturo inciso nel tufo verde, fin sulla cima del Monte Epomeo che con la Punta di San Nicola rappresenta la quota più elevata dell’escursione e dell’isola.

The Fiorola agricultural company is located along the CAI Ischia 501 path which leads to the top of Epomeo. A paved and very panoramic road leads to a small village and a church: Santa Maria al Monte (400 m). from here a mule track leads to the Falanga forest, where reality meets fantasy. In fact, in this chestnut forest it is possible to find the typical holes (the snow pits) and the shelters dug into the tuff boulders that fell from Epomeo, as a consequence of tectonic settlements (the so-called Stone Houses). From this point you can continue towards the Frassitelli forest, a terrace of very dense acacias and climb towards the Pietra dell'Acqua (huge tuff boulder which acts as a cistern, hence the name) and finally, skirting a chestnut forest, climb along a mule track which in the last stretch connects to an ancient sheep track carved into the green tuff, up to the top of Mount Epomeo which with the Punta di San Nicola represents the highest altitude of the excursion and of the island.
