From the first day she found a way to make him feel welcome and he was happy to go to her on the next day. In about 2 months he was able to understand and speak with sentences! This was amazing achievement! The day is full of adventures for the kids. She takes them to the park, to playgroups, to the zoo, to forest school , to the museum and she does different activities with them at home. The day is structured and she has a plan for each day. My son still goes to Fiona's sometimes, for inset days and some school holidays. He missed her when he started school and he is happy , when he can see her."

The standard of care she provides is incredibly high. She adapts the day for the children she has, and as my child is very active found lots of ways during the day to run and make sure he had lots of physical activity. I liked that they were out and about most days either at the zoo, playgroup, parks, forest etc so they had lots of fresh air and wholesome fun. Fiona also encouraged the children to care for each other, be polite and use lovely manners etc. And even though my son is now in school he'll be going back to Fiona for some time during the summer holidays."

Fiona provides a wonderful home from home setting and has so much care for each child and their own needs. Their days are so packed full of fun activities, her organisational skills are to be admired! But she always has a way of adapting those plans to suit the children and their day (naps etc). We are so happy we have found a setting where our little one can enjoy learning and playing right up until school age. Our little one has grown so much in confidence and is so sociable with children of all ages which is definitely down to her time with Fiona and all the little friends she has made. Fiona’s house is set up perfectly as a childcare setting with so much variety of play indoors and outdoors. I love Fiona’s enthusiasm daily and how she is always prepared to be out no matter what the weather! We look forward to continuing to see our little one grow and develop from her time with Fiona and her lovely family."

We couldn't have been happier with the cafe Fiona provided. She is warm and fun whilst also implementing boundaries and discipline in a calm and fair manner. She provides the children with such a wealth of experience, taking them out to the zoo, various groups, the park, and trips further afield such as Liverpool museums and parks. We loved that her setting was homely and our children were integrated with her family. We also found our daughter gained so much from mixing with children of a variety of ages. I really couldn't recommend Fiona highly enough."

"Both of our children went to Fiona's Childminding from when my maternity leave ended until they started school. They both flourished in her care. Fiona is kind, warm, calm, fun, outdoorsy, creative, and really well organised - everything you could possibly hope for in a childminder! Her home environment is great for preschoolers with a well stocked playroom, a large kitchen and dining area, and a fantastic garden. Fiona gets the kids baking, gardening, crafting, and playing all kinds of games to help them develop cognitively, emotionally and socially, and also gets them out and about on outings to parks, the zoo, playgroups, and all sorts. They get a good balance of routine and familiarity, as well as new and interesting experiences.

We have recommended Fiona to everyone we met in Chester who needed a childminder, and several of our friends' kids have become long-term attendees too. I honestly can't believe how lucky we were to find her, and we all miss seeing Fiona and her family every week now the kids are both in school. I can't recommend Fiona's Childminding highly enough."
