Welcome to FindX: Hidden Camera Finder (“FindX”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the FindX mobile application and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Important: FindX is a consumer tool intended to help surface signs of hidden cameras or electronics. It cannot guarantee detection and is not a substitute for professional inspections or law-enforcement assistance.
You must be legally capable of entering a contract in your jurisdiction. If local law requires a minimum age (e.g., 13 or 16), you must meet it or use the Service with a parent/guardian’s consent.
FindX does not require an account. Purchases are tied to your Apple App Store / Google Play account.
License. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on a device you own or control for personal, non-commercial use.
Restrictions. You may not: copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the app; rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or exploit the app; bypass or disable security or usage rules; use the app for unlawful purposes.
Intellectual Property. We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the app, including trademarks, logos, design, text, graphics, animations, and code. No rights are granted except as expressly set out here.
No guarantees. Readings can be affected by lighting, angles, surfaces, RF noise, wiring, magnets, device hardware, OS limitations, and many other factors. FindX does not guarantee detection, accuracy, or completeness.
Not professional advice. Outputs are informational only. For suspected surveillance or safety issues, contact venue management and/or local authorities.
Use lawfully. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and obtaining any permissions needed to scan in a given location.
Health & device care. Use the flashlight responsibly; avoid prolonged direct eye exposure. Be aware that magnets/electromagnetic fields can affect sensitive items. Monitor your device temperature and battery.
On-device processing. Scans (camera view, sensors, local network discovery, Bluetooth discovery) are performed on your device. We do not operate servers for storing your scans.
Permissions. Some features require device permissions (e.g., Camera, Bluetooth, Local Network/Bonjour, Motion/Magnetometer, Microphone, Photos, Location). You can modify permissions in your device settings; some functionalities may be unavailable without them.
Privacy Policy. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data is processed and how (e.g., purchase validation via Apple/Google/RevenueCat). Please review it carefully.
Billing agent. All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to validate entitlements. We do not receive your payment card details.
Free trial (if offered). At the end of a trial, your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before renewal.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to renewal through your store account settings.
Cancellation & refunds. You can cancel at any time via App Store / Google Play subscription settings. Refunds are handled by the platform per its policies.
Price and changes. We may change pricing or features. If required by law or platform rules, we will notify you in advance, and changes will apply at your next renewal.
We may release updates, bug fixes, or new features that may be required to continue using the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time without liability.
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services (e.g., Apple/Google in-app purchases, RevenueCat for entitlement validation). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices.
If you submit suggestions, ideas, or feedback (“Feedback”), you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the Feedback for any purpose without restriction or compensation.
“AS IS” / “AS AVAILABLE.” The Service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
No guarantee of detection. We do not warrant that any device will be detected, that results will be error-free, or that false positives/negatives will not occur.
No professional services. We do not provide professional security, legal, or safety services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost data; device damage; loss of goodwill; or service interruption.
Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability (or $25, if greater is not permitted).
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability; in those cases, the above limitations may apply only to the extent permitted.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FindX and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you’ve violated these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time. Termination does not entitle you to a refund (subject to platform policies) and sections that by their nature should survive will survive (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability).
Governing law & venue. These Terms are governed by the laws of [choose: your state/country], without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in [city/state/country] for all disputes not subject to arbitration.
Arbitration (optional template). Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by [arbitration body] under its rules. You waive any right to a jury trial. Class actions are not permitted.
If you do not want arbitration, remove this clause and rely on the courts specified above. Ensure local compliance.
You agree to comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws and not to export or provide the app to prohibited destinations or parties.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Effective date” above and, where required, provide notice in the app or via the store. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
