Effective date: 16.09.20205
This Privacy Policy explains how the FindX: Hidden Camera Finder mobile app (“FindX”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information. Our design principle is simple:
FindX processes everything on your device. We do not run our own servers, we don’t sell data, and we don’t build advertising profiles.
The only network calls the app makes are for purchase validation (via Apple/Google and RevenueCat) and optional update/Store services provided by your platform.
No account. No sign-in.
No server storage. We don’t host or store your scans, photos, sensor readings, or notes.
No ads & no third-party trackers.
Permissions are purpose-limited (camera, Bluetooth, local network, motion, etc.) and used only while features are active.
Purchases are processed by Apple/Google; entitlements are managed via RevenueCat. We do not receive your payment details.
FindX analyzes signals locally to help you locate hidden cameras and devices. Depending on what you turn on, the app may access:
Camera – to show a live view and highlight lens reflections. No recording or upload by the app.
Photo Library (optional) – if you import or save images. Files stay on your device.
Microphone (optional) – used only if you enable audio-based diagnostics/features. Audio isn’t recorded or uploaded.
Bluetooth (BLE) & Local Network / Bonjour – to discover nearby or same-network devices during a scan. Discovery happens locally; we don’t pair with devices or transmit lists to a server.
Motion & Magnetometer – to detect magnetic-field spikes. Signals stay local.
Location (When In Use) – only if enabled to improve distance estimates and certain discovery behaviors on some systems. Location data isn’t stored or sent to a server.
No names, emails, phone numbers, contacts, calendars.
No precise location history.
No photos or videos uploaded to us.
No advertising identifiers.
No behavior analytics tied to you.
Purchases are handled by your platform (Apple App Store / Google Play). We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements (e.g., whether Premium is active). This requires the app to contact RevenueCat’s service with an app-scoped user identifier and your transaction status.
We do not receive your card details or billing address.
We do not host purchase records ourselves.
RevenueCat acts as a processor for subscription status. Review their policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/ and your platform’s privacy terms (Apple/Google).
If you prefer not to share subscription status with RevenueCat, you can refrain from purchasing or cancel your subscription in the store and continue using any free features.
We do not sell your data. We do not share scan content or sensor readings. Limited sharing occurs only with:
Apple/Google — for payments and subscription management.
RevenueCat — to validate entitlements (no payment details).
Legal or safety — if required by applicable law or to protect rights, property, or users.
We do not otherwise disclose or monetize information.
On-device only. Your scans, preferences, and any saved images remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Subscriptions. Store receipts and entitlement metadata are retained by Apple/Google and RevenueCat per their policies.
Delete everything. Uninstalling the app removes all app-stored content from your device (this does not cancel an active subscription—manage that via the App Store / Google Play).
We minimize data movement by keeping processing on-device. Any network communication (e.g., purchases) uses platform-standard encryption (TLS). As with any software, no method is 100% secure, but our architecture reduces risk by avoiding centralized storage.
Permissions. You can grant or revoke Camera, Photos, Microphone, Bluetooth, Local Network, Motion, and Location permissions in your device settings at any time.
Subscriptions. Manage or cancel via the App Store / Google Play subscription settings.
Access/Deletion/Correction (GDPR/CCPA and similar). Because we don’t keep personal scan data on servers, requests typically apply to purchase/entitlement records held by Apple/Google/RevenueCat. Contact them or us for guidance.
FindX is not intended for children under the age required by your local law (e.g., 13 or 16). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We don’t operate our own servers. Subscription validation is handled by Apple/Google/RevenueCat and may involve international processing per their policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. We’ll update the Effective date above and, where required, notify you in the app or via the store.
