Find answers to common questions about using FinTrack for your expense management.
How do I scan a receipt? Tap "Scan Receipt" on the home screen, then use your camera to take a photo. FinTrack uses advanced AI to automatically extract the business name, amount, date, and other relevant information.
Can I edit receipt information? Yes! After scanning, you can review and edit all extracted information before saving to ensure 100% accuracy.
What currencies are supported? We support 50 major currencies, including USD, EUR, PHP, JPY, GBP, CNY, THB, MYR, IDR, VND, and KRW.
How do I view my receipts? Tap "Receipt Log" to view all saved receipts. You can tap any entry to see full details, including items and payment methods.
How do I delete a receipt? Swipe left on any receipt in the Receipt Log or tap the delete icon on the receipt detail page.
Can I add notes? Yes! Use the "Notes" field when scanning or editing to add descriptions or additional information.
How do I add custom payment methods? Go to Settings → Manage Payment Methods → Add Custom Payment Method. You can add specific credit cards, e-wallets (like GCash or PayMaya), or any other method.
What are the default methods? Cash, Bank Transfer, and Other are always available and cannot be deleted.
How do I view my spending summary? Tap "Dashboard" to see total receipts, spending by currency, and monthly statistics.
How do I export my data? Tap the export icon on the Dashboard. You can choose CSV or PDF format and select specific date ranges.
Where are exported files saved? Files are saved to your device's Documents folder. You can share them directly via email or messaging apps after exporting.
Do I need to verify my email? Yes, verification is required for account security and password recovery.
Is my data secure? Yes. All authentication is handled by Firebase with industry-standard security. Receipt images stay on your device, while data is optionally synced securely to the cloud.
How do I delete my account? Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data within 30 days.
AI not extracting correctly? Ensure good lighting, hold the camera steady, and keep the receipt flat. You can always manually edit any errors.
Can't sign in with Google? Ensure Google Play Services is updated and you have an active internet connection. Alternatively, use email/password login.
Do you sell my data? NO. We never sell personal information like your name, email, or individual receipts. We only use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our AI and provide market insights.
