Owner of SparkEd, Kristie has 16 years of teaching experience at the secondary and collegiate levels. She earned her undergraduate English degree and MAT in Secondary English Education from the University of Louisville where is now a Senior Lecturer. Kristie earned her National Board Certification in English Language Arts in 2011 and has since become a certified K-12 librarian through a second Masters in Library Science at Western Kentucky University. She most recently earned her doctoral degree in English Pedagogy at Murray State University and mentors AP Language and Literature teachers across the country with the National Math and Science Initiative. Kristie currently serves as the president of the KY Council of Teachers of English. Kristie's work has been featured on EduTalk Radio, in the English Leadership Quarterly, and at local, regional, state, and national education conferences. She is an advocate for teachers and is passionate about student-driven learning at all levels. @KristieHEnnis
