Introduction

Do you love traveling? Maybe you hate traveling but love hearing the stories of others who have been around the world? Maybe you've never traveled, but have always wanted the opportunity. If any of these options sound like you, you're going to enjoy this storybook!

First, let me give you some background of my quite unique family that this storybook is based off of. I come from a larger family that is made up of three sisters and two brothers, with me being the youngest child. A very unique aspect of my family is that four of us are actually adopted, with me included.

The four of us that were adopted came from places all over the world. My two sisters, Masha and Katya, were adopted from Russia and are actually biological sisters. They grew up in an orphanage in a city close to Moscow and were adopted at ages eight and fourteen. My brother Spencer was actually adopted from Austin, Texas and was a newborn. As for me, I was adopted from a city in China known as Chongqing. I was adopted from China at about 13 months old. While we were all adopted from different places around the world, we all ended up in a unique family.

So, this is where my storybook got its inspiration. My storybook will take you to the places that represent my family life. Each story is going to take you through the places that each of us were adopted from, and give you a unique story to learn about. You as the traveler will begin in Texas, where I grew up all my life, and then we will travel to China, Russia, and then back to Texas. Throughout the stories, you will learn something unique about the different cultures, and will feel like you yourself have traveled there.
