RV SITE DETAILS:
The RV sites offer easy access to delicious potable water filling via hose. There are no dedicated water hook ups for this site nor are there dumping services allowed; however, there is a well-maintained porta potty. Dumping services for a reasonable fee are available within 2 miles at a City of Gering facility.
Large and pull behind rigs must book the RV site.
Prairie Site Check In: One hour before *dark.
RV Site Check In: Self Check-in by host arrangement, or 1/2 hour before dark.
Early check in may be possible if prearranged and we're able to accommodate. Check out time is flexible. We'd love to have you stay for a hike the next day!
*Prairie Site Campers Please Note: Vans, Camper Trucks, and car campers are welcome on the prairie in designated sites; however, we do not accept after dark arrivals to our prairie sites due to safety reasons. Your booking fee is forfeit if you arrive after dark.
Pets are allowed only by special permission, with dogs on leash at all times. This protects your pet, the horses, and the wildlife. It is unsafe for dogs to roam the prairie because of coyotes. Inquire with the host before booking with your pet to learn more. All campers with pets must clean up after their pet.
Only one vehicle is allowed per tent site. Additional vehicles can be added for an additional fee. There is no additional parking for visitors.
Ask Lisa when you arrive whether it is safe for a fire in the designated fire pits. Due to weather circumstances while you're here, it may not be safe to have a campfire.
Prairie campers prepare to pack out with your trash. Have trash bags with you and plan to dispose of your trash in the receptacle at the Home Site before leaving the property. (Please leave only footprints behind you).
No firearms are allowed anywhere on the property.
All wildlife is respected here. Please do not harass, try to pick up, hurt, or remove any wild creature found here.
Wildflowers exist on the prairie and should not be picked nor should stones, bones or artifacts be removed.
Wildlife homes are evident on the land in the form of burrows or holes in the sides of the canyon. It is extremely dangerous to investigate these holes, for they are another beast's home, and tragedy may result.
Respect the land by being gentle when near delicate rock formations and sensitive crumbly areas.
All Federal and Nebraska state laws are recognized on this land.
Those who wish to hike in the Scotts Bluff National Monument parkland must respect their rules of access only from sunup to sundown.
Those who do not follow the site rules will be asked to leave immediately and forfeit their booking fee.
