Social constructivism, is more of an added bonus on to constructivism itself. The difference, I would say, would be the collaboration and group work interaction conducted through this pedagogical method. This method is what I believe allows the students to keep expanding and developing even greater skill sets. This will be seen more when you notice how much prior knowledge the student knew or understand, then later the student able to explain what they have additionally learned (when discussing and working with their groups). This is the kind of skill and strategy needed for inside and outside of their education, they will notice of use of it later in the work field and it's importance.
