Lesson 1 Investigation 1 &

Lesson 2 Investigation 1:

Students will work on a Ven Diagram for 20 minutes. Students will compare and contrast 2 vocabulary terms that are the main focus on each Investigation.
10 minutes consist of independent work created by each individual student. 5 minutes can be discussing with their group to expand on their knowledge and lastly, the remaining 5 minutes is to complete the ven diagram is new information presented to them.

KNWS: Unit 7 Usage

K (know), N (Not), W, (want) & S (strategy) is what is stands for and it is a strategy used to allows students to organize their ideas when doing a reading-problem, which they do a lot with word problems from their textbook.
The idea is to use this handout to use while working on classwork problems assigned throughout each day. Students will be filing this out as they work on the problem individually since any classwork conducted as a group and turn in their collaborated work for credit. However, their independent work, for their independent grade to see their individual process and understanding is seen through this handout.
