Common questions
----------------
How do I stack filters?
Pick a filter, adjust its sliders, then tap Apply ✓. The filter is baked into
the photo and the next one goes on top. Undo (the curved arrow) takes back the
last one.
How do I put a filter on only part of the photo?
Pick a filter, open the Brush tab and paint where you want it. Erase filter takes
it off again. Select by color applies it to every area with the colour you tap.
The red overlay shows the painted area.
What size are saved photos?
On iPad, photos are always saved at full resolution. On iPhone, Save and Share
ask whether you want Full resolution or Standard (at most 3600 pixels on the
longest side, quicker and smaller). Very large photos are limited to what your
device's memory can edit: 6000 pixels on devices with 3 GB, 8192 on 4 GB, more
on newer models.
Saving a full-resolution photo takes a while
Every filter you applied is redone on the full-size photo, so a 48-megapixel
photo with several filters can take several seconds, longer on older devices.
Choose Standard for a quick save.
The app can't save to Photos
Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → FilterLab and choose Add Photos
Only or Full Access.
How do I make a timelapse?
Tap the red record button, edit as usual, then tap stop. The replay opens with
Save and Share.
How do I compare with the original?
Press and hold the photo.
