FilterLab Privacy Policy

Effective 1 November 2026
FilterLab ("the app") is made by Kalidindi Bharat. This policy
explains what happens to your information when you use the app on iPhone,
iPad and Android phones and tablets.
The short version
-----------------
We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. Your photos are
edited only on your device and are never uploaded. The app has no accounts, no
advertising, no analytics, no third-party code and no tracking, and it does not
connect to the internet.
Photos and files
----------------
• Choosing a photo: done with the system photo picker (Apple's Photos picker
on iPhone and iPad, Android's photo picker on Android), which gives the app
only the photo you pick. The app cannot see the rest of your library.
• Saving: on iPhone and iPad the app asks for permission to add images and
timelapse videos to Photos; it cannot read your library with this
permission. On Android, saved images and videos go to your gallery
(Pictures/FilterLab and Movies/FilterLab) without any permission.
• Sharing: uses the system share sheet; the image or video goes only where
you send it.
• While you edit: the photo and your edits are kept in the app's memory and,
for timelapse videos, in its temporary storage on your device. Nothing is
sent anywhere.
Purchase
--------
FilterLab is a paid app bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or
Google handles the payment; we do not receive your name, payment details,

Crash reports
-------------
If you have chosen to share analytics or usage and diagnostics data in your
device settings, Apple or Google may provide us with anonymous crash reports
and usage statistics. These do not identify you, and we use them only to fix
problems.
Your rights
-----------
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA (California) give you rights to
access, correct and delete personal data. Because we do not collect or hold any
personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete.
Children
--------
The app is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal data, we
collect none from children.
Changes to this policy
----------------------
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and its
effective date before the change takes effect.
