As part of the On the edge project, I took part as a dramaturg, drawing on my knowledge and experience in this field to support the development and coherence of the artistic concept. I also directed several videos that were projected on stage during the performance, enhancing the narrative and the stage design.

On the edge

Niels has recently been working in a theater. He likes to do things well and help people. He does his best to get through life despite strange sensations that punctuate his daily life.

Life hasn't always been easy for Niels. His journey was punctuated by events that would constitute the breeding ground for growing personal turmoil.

Niels struggles to silence these psychic disturbances which take shape on stage around him. The strangeness grows, the anxiety disturbing, while before our eyes, the shift towards madness takes place.

Niels is absorbed by a reality whose limits are thinning. The distortions blur his perception and reveal a dark and invasive side.

“On the Edge” immerses the audience in the psyche of a character damaged by life, raises the question of mental health and questions our relationship to strangeness in our relationships with Others.
