#1 opticam 1000 (~1975)

The opticam 1000 35 mm camera was the first one I ever owned in this format. My parents bought this camera which I remember using in an elementary school photography club. Not sure I took pictures with it that got developed at that time. In fact the only pictures I know that survived from this camera were taken on a family trip to P.E.I. The rewind mechanism cracked off (probably because I or someone else in my family snapped it off because the film was not released from the take up reel properly before attempting to rewind. Most of the shots taken on that roll of film were lost as they were exposed to light trying to get the film out of the camera. Frankly, I am surprised any survived. I have recently scanned the negatives of that final roll and will post the images here eventually.
