My goal for this page is to provide you with an overview of the tools and processes I utilize for various aspects of SEO. Whether it's On-page, Off-page, or Technical, I have tools to use to perform in these different areas. There are also plugins and extensions that I use, which are for sure helpful for every Filipino SEO Virtual Assistant out there.
I’m familiar with various processes involved in different areas of SEO, and I’ve shared the videos below to demonstrate how I apply these processes in practice.
I made this video to show you the process I use to determine the ranking of my article with a specific set of keywords. I use a free tool and downloaded its extension to find out my article's ranking on SERP.
This one shows my SEO process when using RankMath for On-Page optimization and creating meta titles and descriptions.
In this video, I show one of my processes of using a Focus Keyword: how to use it for content, how to use it as a Header, and finally, how to use it to rank in SERPs.
Below are the tools I use for SEO-related tasks:
SEMRush is one of the primary tools I use to optimize the webpages I create. While I also use it for off-page SEO tasks, such as identifying backlink opportunities from competitor websites, I mainly rely on SEMrush for keyword research. It helps me understand search intent, evaluate keyword difficulty, and develop effective keyword planning strategies for better on-page optimization. This tool is one of the most important tools I use as a Filipino SEO Virtual Assistant. It plays a central role in my workflow, from content planning and execution to tracking performance and keyword rankings.
When it comes to webpage optimization, SurferSEO is one of my favorite tools. It helps enhance content by suggesting NLP terms, semantic keywords, and providing data-driven comparisons against top-ranking competitors. SurferSEO also assigns an SEO score to each piece of content, giving SEO specialists a clear indication of whether the page is competitive and has strong ranking potential.
Quillbot is a valuable tool that I also use, as it can generate different versions of the written content I create. From social media content to long-form articles and web copies, this tool is a reliable asset for an SEO specialist like me. Aside from these features, it can also humanize texts, check plagiarism, and check AI-written materials.
Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Gemini are general tools I use mostly for brainstorming, research, and sometimes fact-checking. Although most of these tools make mistakes sometimes, doing proper research and checking authoritative sites can help these tools produce helpful input for optimizing webpages.
Aside from SEMrush, I also use Ahrefs to identify websites that are linking to my competitors. By analyzing these backlinks, I can uncover relevant link-building opportunities and reach out to the same sites to earn high-quality backlinks for my own website.
One of my favorite—and often underrated—ways to build website authority is by creating Web 2.0 properties such as Google Sites, Medium, and Canva Websites. When set up properly and linked back to the official website, these Web 2.0 assets help establish foundational backlinks, which play an important role in strengthening a site’s authority and overall link profile.
Aside from using SEO tools, I also leverage guest posting. This strategy is highly effective for building website authority, whether you’re a start-up looking to gain initial backlinks or an established company aiming to strengthen your link profile.
