Starting in the Fall 2026 semester, I will be an assistant professor (tenure track) of mathematics at the University of Hartford.
Formerly, I was a postdoctoral associate at Rutgers University New Brunswick working under the supervision of Prof. A. Shadi Tahvildar-Zadeh. Before that, I completed my PhD at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where my advisor was Prof. Owen Gwilliam.Â
My research interests are mathematical physics and derived geometry. I apply homological algebra and other categorical methods to understand classical and quantum field theory, with a particular emphasis on physics in curved spacetime and gravitation. This research shapes my teaching and mentoring philosophy: I endeavor to help students see the power of math both in its abstract and applied forms.
I was a counselor for the Ross Mathematics Program during summers 2015 and 2016: my experience there continually influences my teaching methodology.
