Universiteit Antwerpen - imec & Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya
Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow & Senior Researcher
Antwerpen, Belgium & Barcelona, Spain, June 2020 – now
Marie-Skłodowska Curie Individual Fellowship (MSCA-IF) awardee for the EU ScaLeITN project, hosted by the Internet Technology and Data Science Lab (IDLab) @ Universiteit Antwerpen and NaNoNetworking Center in Catalunya (N3Cat) @ Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. The main goal of the project is to develop a scalable and localization-enabled in-body terahertz nanonetwork. These functionalities will be supported while simultaneously maintaining tiny form factors and a low energy consumption profile of a potentially vast number of nanodevices. The project also envisions extensive teaching, supervision, and outreach activities. Also affiliated with the imec research institute as a senior researcher. The role is complementary to the postdoc one and provides me the opportunity to contribute to various research projects at imec.
Universiteit Antwerpen - imec
Postdoctoral Research Assistant & Senior Researcher
Antwerpen, Belgium, Oct 2018 – May 2020
Postdoctoral research assistant at the Internet Technology and Data Science Lab (IDLab). Doing research and helping PhD students in their research in the domains of mmWave and terahertz communication, context-aware networks, and cross-layer optimizations for sub-GHz IoT technologies. Also affiliated with the imec research institute as a senior researcher. The role is complementary to the postdoc one and provides me the opportunity to contribute to various research projects at imec.
University of Michigan - Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute
Visiting Postdoctoral Research Assistant
Shanghai, China, Oct 2019 - Apr 2020
The main goal of my research stay is to develop accurate channel models for terahertz propagation at the nanoscale for in-body and intelligent surface application. An additional goal is to extend the IDLab’s collaboration network by initiating long-term research and student exchange agendas with UM-SJTU JI, specifically with its Terahertz Wireless Communications (TWC) laboratory.
